My goal when working with any artist is to SERVE THE SONG. For this reason I like to begin work with an artist from the pre-production stage until the final mastering stage, guiding them to fulfill their vision. I work 40/hr or often negotiate flat rates for and album or EP.

Below is an example of my ideal session where we work with specialists at each level (musicians, engineer, mixing, mastering). Each project is different and not everyone has the budget to pay specialists at each stage. In this case, I am more than capable of doing the entire process in house myself.

The first step is preproduction, which includes song coaching, arranging, and planning. My ideal process involves finding the best musicians in Austin that compliment your music, the most fitting studio and play the song/album live together. I have found that musicians playing together simultaneously yields a magic otherwise unattainable.

After a successful session, I edit the parts (as minimally as possible, but as much as needed.) We then do all overdubs at the A.D.D. DEN and prepare the sessions for mixing. At this stage I recommend using a premium 3rd party mixer to gain further perspective into the songs potential. However I also have the capability of mixing our project as well if budget constraints preclude us from doing so.

We will then find the right mastering engineer that fits your style and budget. I will give the mastering engineer notes to perfect the final product until everyone is happy.
